Furniture Delays

me: your sofa is delayed. the fabric was being transported via the oriental express when the crypts and the taliban had a little gang war causing the train to derail into a village of orphans. but don't worry, the surviving orphans are working hard to shovel your fabric out of the snow and get your sofa into production very soon.

customer: this is very upsetting news. i feel that i should have free delivery or some kind of compensation for the emotional distress you've caused me.

me: thousands of people died today and i'd like you to put that into perspective.

customer: can i speak to the manager?

me: i don't have a manager. i have a 'team leader' and i can tell you her answer will be "no, you cannot have a free delivery." now, is there anything else i can do for you today?

customer: no, i've lost faith in your company as a result of this experience.

me: i've lost faith in humanity as a result of this conversation.

Tiger Beatdown

I was reading tavi g's blog (where i found some super cool pics) and stubbled upon her review of the book girl power which I now want to read, but the more pressing matter I wish to draw your attention to is this essay from Tiger Beatdown titled 'Edward Cullen Underpants Conundrum.' Tiger Beatdown is hilarious. When I read the afore mentioned essay, which was to be the first of many I devoured in one sitting, I was rofling, I tell you, simply rofling.

In fact, it took me about three times longer than it should have to write this post because I kept stopping to read more. And I don't read! I don't even know how. It's why I keep a blog about pictures and pretty things instead of attempting to bore you with my sophisticated and intellectual opinions, of which I have oh so many. So, if my readership isn't an endorsement, I don't know what is.
