toast u.k.

Toast. It's worldly done western, modern done classic, clean and in natural fibers. Toast traces the generational thread between homes and wardrobes finding the pieces that can be faded by sun but not by time. It's no fuss no fashion just absolutely lovely.
french waiter's striped wrap around apron, £29.00
flat woven bath towel from eastern turkey, £18.00
modern, minimal, pretty organza ribbon £14.00 to £89.00
aegean bedlinen, £14.00 to £82.00

automatism

Another pick-up from sfgirlbybay, automatism is enchanting. Canadian author and illustrator Lori Langille's blog roams widely over so much that is winsome and winning.
From John Huck's breakfast diptychs.
To a 60 sq. metre Paris Interior
Lori shares so very many lovely things. I am pleased to add automatism to 'A Work Day's Worth', as well as to my mental list of bloggers I aspire to be more like.
ikea what?

Oh Ikea, you're about to make me wonder why I avoid you like the plague.
Danielle de Lange over at The Style Files just posted great images from the IKEA's new summer collection. And it looks like the trip to Atlantic Station that I've been putting off for months just got put on the calendar!
My faves:
Grenö floor cushion, $39.99
Ramsö umbrella, $14.99
Sommar bag, $7.99
Visit the The Style Files or IKEA for a closer look.

flutter
I came across the little shop Flutter while reading sfgirlbybay's 'Unexpected Guest' spot with Andrea Jenkins of Portland, Oregon. In fact, I discovered unphotographable in that same interview.
Anyhow, shop Flutter...a delightful disarray of found objects and clutter
I dig how it manages girly and macabre at the same time.

Check out more shop items at Flutter.
unphotographable
For all the picture perfect memories kept with minds rather than megabytes...
Here is where you can see them.
"This is a picture I did not take of a homeless man who was a daily visitor to our dumpster, right outside the apartment where a burglar had stolen all my cameras a few months ago, rendering everything unphotographable, and the man had retrieved a chair from the dumpster, a chair we'd thrown-out because it was broken and we were moving and had no more use for it, and the man was sitting out by the dumpster, reclined in the chair, slowly paging through my catalog from KEH Camera Brokers."-Michael David Murphy April 1, 2008

frolic!

I've added a new blog to A Work Day's Worth: frolic!
Check it out. Chelea Fuss, floral/event planner and fellow blogger, is yet another fantastic person working hard to create a more beautiful world one paper garland at a time.
See frolic!

The origination of Bertha Mag is described by the creator as follows:
"Bertha Mag was born out of wanting to show my grandmother Bertha a bit of what is nowadays being done in the world of photography. The magazine gathers different rising artists from all over the world to present their work and make it known to those interested in photography."
Issue #4 will be published online in May 23.
