i <3 Vern

One of my favorite shows on HGTV is Deserving Design with Vern Yip. I love Vern not only for his style which is very graceful, but also for his approach and his heart. His thoughtfulness makes the show a pleasure to watch. Here's an episode I recently watched that I enjoyed in particular for two reasons, 1) there are good illustrations of Vern's ability to communicate important design principles and 2) because the teacher's accent reminds me of my grandmother and aunts which I've missed since moving to A-town.


and bonus! Vern lives in Atlanta so his clients/deserving folks are locals. Not only can you spot famous landmarks like Decatur square you also get to learn about the kind of non-profit organizations that exist in our community. Which should inspire us to find opportunities to give back.
