happy weekend

This post title has a double-meaning. It refers, of course, to my wish for all my lovely readers (and everyone else that I care slightly less about) to have a happy weekend. It is also the subject of the photos you see above. Last weekend my family celebrated the Wonder Baby's (a.k.a. Kelsey's) high school graduation. She is the youngest, which is unfortunate because now that the last (but not the least) of us has gone and grown up none of us will have any excuse to act the way we do (though it's not likely to stop us). It was a wonderful day pulled together by hard work (katie must have made at least 150 ft. of paper chain), careful planning (kelsey's one pre-party task was to pray for it not to rain... we figured she was the only one up to this task since she is still on god's good side) and a great deal of generosity (special thanks to annie for letting us borrow her treasured teacups, to target and wal-mart for letting us swindle you, to tad for re-rigging his entire home theater system outdoors, to tony the master of fried foods, and to the murray county agricultural center for the adorable old school chairs).
