I have been love loving this song since my brother kindly added it to my iTunes last month and out of my desire to share with you, I discovered the beautiful music video on youtube.
How about that shooting location? What a space! What light! It's gorgeous.
In admiration, I looked at photography director's, Mattias Montero's, website and learned that he actually directed this video for Bat for Lashes, which, as it happens, I fell in love with right around this same time last year. So, might I recommend watching a few of his music videos to find what other delights his eye is responsible for.

While you are out and about, listen to some other Black Cab Sessions. Black Cab Sessions is a series of one-song performances by musicians and poets recorded in the back of a black cab and filmed for an internet audience. It's a fabulous concept. I'm wild about it.

As a side note, I've started watching Green Acres on dvd. (which might point to why I was so into this particular video). Uncle Joe is my favorite. He makes me laugh and reminds me of my own Uncle Kent.

The Fox Confessor Brings the Flood, an album originally released by Neko Case in March of 2006 is now on vinyl. I've been waiting for this for since I got a record player as a graduation gift last May, so today is a very happy day for me.

X-mas Mix Tapes for Everyone!

It's the end of August - time to start my holiday shopping...
Can I call them miX-mas tapes? No? Yeah, that's retarded.

I am actually making a mix tape to send to a friend far away.
I kinda love these sleeves on etsy. Nothing to go crazy about, but if you are going to go crazy spending hours perfecting a mix-tape, you might as deliver it in style.
